While these figures naturally trail the peak lavender season (June–August), maintaining such high performance in the extreme sub-zero winter environment serves as powerful evidence of “Shikauchi’s” exceptional market appeal and brand strength.

High ADR and Extended Stays Secured

ADR for December reached a high of ¥65,720, demonstrating the competitive advantage of our whole-villa rental model for group bookings (averaging 6.2 guests per stay). Notably, the low frequency of check-ins relative to occupied nights resulted in an impressive average stay of 4.6 days. This confirms our success in capturing the “living like a local” demand among affluent inbound travelers seeking long-term winter retreats in Furano.

A Robust Revenue Foundation

In just three months from December to February, a single property generated total revenue of approximately ¥4.22 million. In a resort market typically defined by extreme seasonal fluctuations, this result serves as definitive proof of our exceptionally robust and resilient revenue model.

Capturing Inbound Demand, Primarily from the Asian Market

Breaking down the revenue from December to February by nationality reveals that while East Asian tourists remain our primary demographic—consistent with the summer season—we also welcomed guests from European nations like Bulgaria and Switzerland, as well as Southeast Asian countries such as Singapore and Thailand. This highlights the global appeal of “Shikauchi,” demonstrating a robust business model that is not dependent on domestic demand.

From New Construction to Historic Renovation: “The KUKAN Spatial Supply Line”

Building on the success of “Shikauchi,” we are advancing the following projects for fiscal year 2026:
1. Nakafurano Shikauchi Farm Project: Construction and opening of a new facility designed to harmonize with and maximize the untouched natural environment.
2. Furano Yamabe Project: Acquisition of an existing historic property, converting it into a high-value lodging space through KUKAN’s signature design expertise.
